The pre-launch page for my first Kickstarter campaign is live! You can follow for updates!
My Kickstarter for Black Market Heart, Book 4 in the Eververse series, begins on 1/25/24. But you can support the campaign now by following the project! All you need to do is sign up for Kickstarter, click on the Notify Me On Launch button, and you’ll get an update when the campaign officially goes live.
Following the project helps it build momentum. The more followers, the more Kickstarter boosts the campaign to other potential backers, which helps make the project possible. It would mean so much if you would consider following the project and helping make the book become a reality.
The book is FINISHED! For those unfamiliar with Kickstarter, it’s a crowdfunding platform that gives creatives and artists like myself an opportunity to bring their vision to a broader audience. It’s not a donation, but more like a pre-order; you will get a book (or several depending on your pledge!).
In fact, the Kickstarter campaign is the only place you’ll be able to get the book for most of 2024. While the ebook and paperback are coming to retail later in the year, backers can get them months in advance. Also, they can get a limited edition hardcover edition and hardcovers of the entire Eververse series.
The Eververse begins with Ever The Hero, an SPSFC Quarterfinalist which Publisher’s Weekly called ‘an entertaining debut that uses superpowers as a metaphor to delve into class politics in an alternate America.’ Books 1-3 comprise Volume One, and Book 4 kicks off Volume Two. It’s a great jumping-on point for readers that is perfect for fantasy fans, Loki fans who enjoy ani-heroes (or just villains), and of course, superhero fans. Here’s the blurb on Black Market Heart:
The Interdictor searches for his heart. It may cost him his soul.
Nathan Regan thought himself a god, but a battle with a powerful sorceress left him a heartless zombie. When his father draws him into his growing ambitions in the criminal underworld, The Interdictor discovers a possible escape from his cold hell: sling magic. The Interdictor seeks sling magic’s source, leading him to encounters with undead gangs and strange dimensions. He discovers Conundra, a powerful street witch, and a shocking truth. The free use of sling magic erodes the tenuous barrier between the practical and the magical, threatening to destroy both worlds. With existence in the balance, The Interdictor can prove himself the hero he imagines, or the villain others perceive.
“You’d be mistaken thinking this is merely a supervillain story. It’s science fiction full of heart – even when The Interdictor has lost his.” – Al Hess, author of World Running Down
Look forward to more details on the book, and the official cover reveal, soon!
Thank you for all your support!
