Another year gone by.
It’s hard to imagine. There’s a downhill feeling the older you get, but it’s not all bad. Though this year had its (significant) ups and downs, I have so much to be thankful for in 2023.
Thank you for helping make this year the most successful of my career. My latest novel, Stargun Messenger, was a #1 bestseller. Stargun outsold my entire lifetime print sales to date. I also doubled my entire lifetime earnings to date. I sold books at my first convention. I signed books for the first time at Barnes & Noble. This book has done more than achieve practical success.
By far, Stargun Messenger has been the most creatively rewarding experience of my life. I never thought the book would come out. I never thought anyone would find value in it, but you have. I’ve gotten such wonderful reviews, comments, and messages from people that have really touched me. I am deeply grateful for the chance to share this story with you.
I’m looking forward to 2024. Next year will bring even more firsts, beginning with my first Kickstarter. Black Market Heart launches in early February, and I’m hoping it’s the first of many successful campaigns. I’m going to be doing more, and larger, shows. I’m working on my first children’s book, my first comic book, and a brand-new novel which is a love letter to weird 80s sci-fi and Stephen King novels I grew up on. These new books might not appear until 2025, but they possess energy and promise that is going to contribute to making next year great. Fans can also look forward to Stargun Messenger 2, which I expect will come to Kickstarter later in the year.
Once again, thank you so much for your support. My joy in writing is giving these stories life, and sharing them with others. You make that possible.
Happy holidays!
