It’s been a minute, so I thought I had better give an update on where I’m at with the Eververse series.
If you’re enjoying the series, thank you so much. The last year has been rough but things are turning a corner I hope. The third book in the series, Nothing Ever Ends, is on track for September release. Look for a cover reveal and more detail soon. It’s hard to say much about it without giving SPOILERS away for the second book, but if you’ve read that, then you probably know you’re in for a wild ride.
I’m just over 50,000 words or 50% of the way through the fourth book. I’ve made real, steady progress in the last month after almost a year of false starts. I won’t give away the plot or focus character of this book – every book in the series will feature a new focus character (well, most every book) – but it’s a major figure in the series.
The events of the last year, and particularly earlier this year, made me reconsider basically everything I had planned for the book. I’ll talk more about it as it becomes more real, but the pause we all have lived through since March of 2020 was good for me in the sense that I had to really think about my story. The first three books were written in something of a flash, between late 2016 and early 2018, with years of revision to follow. This book, and the series going forward, benefits from being a much more deliberate and considerate writer in the early going.
I can’t wait for people to read three and four!
A reminder my novel A Country Of Eternal Light debuts 6/4 – pre-orders available now.
More to come!
